The guys were able to fit me in as a walk-in. They gave helpful updates on timing so I'd know when it was done. No attempt to sell stuff I didn't need. So glad to have a neighborhood shop for basic maintenance! UPDATE a year later: Been here a few times for routine maintenance since moving to the neighborhood and I'm impressed each time. This is a good shop. UPDATE again another year later: great service continues. Really grateful!

Avoid this place at all costs! I went there to close a window in my car, since it stopped responding. They fixed it, 185$ for a simple job. And that biggest problem is that after they fixed my window, my window controls started to stay on all the time after locking and leaving my car. Which led to my battery dying one morning causing me to miss work. And they didn't even warn me about the issue! Please avoid!!! They are in it for the money and that's it. I know it is hard to find a good shop with honest mechanics, but when you do, like I did finaly. You will know how much this shop is bad.

One of the tires I had purchased in the spring from Honest1 developed a flat this fall. I took it in, they removed, inspected and showed me a nail that had punctured the tire. It was repaired and the car ready for me in less than one hour! All at no charge to me. I had switched from getting my oil changes at the dealer to H1 Diamond Lake and am I ever glad as they take good care of their customers.

Easy to set up an appointment. Service for routine oil change was timely as promised.

Nick over at Honest1 on Portland and 60th has been amazing. If he couldn't get me a same day appointment I was in within 3 business days. More to the point, he's always taken the time to explain what was wrong and what my options were for dealing with the problem. He understands that I have tight budget and tells me what work needs immediate attention and what work can safely be delayed. I value the respectful attitude he shows his employees as well. I've learned the hard way over the years that it's worth paying for good service and Nick and the crew are worth it.

Honest 1 is honestly an absolute RIP OFF. I brought my 2007 Buick LaCrosse in for brakes and rotors, they came back with a $6,600 dollar estimate. The cars only worth 3,500. They found every possible thing that could be fixed but didn't necessarily need to be. After speaking with the manager and explaining I only wanted the brakes done. He came up with a $1,900 dollar estimate. I called a different independent owned shop/mechanic the next day who gave me an $800 estimate on the same work. Thats an $1,100 difference.....when I picked my car up from honest 1 after that, the manager said "oh I could have probably got it down to $1,200......so basically wanted to bend me over for 700 bucks....ABSOLUTE CROOKS. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!!! I REPEAT DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!
