One thing that would have been helpful would have been advised of the additional items/services that would be needed to complete the original quoted job. On this one, that was about an extra $200. Other than that, everyone was very helpful and up front about the work that needed to be done.

We used to take our vehicle here because they were the only ones open on Sat, but that's no longer the case. The situation that made us pull the plug on this shop was that they don't do full proper alignments even though they charge you for an alignment. We had our tires replaced and part of the estimate was to have it aligned. After 7000 miles, the back tires were completely worn on the inside (bad negative camber, so definitely not aligned). Honest-1 (Portland Ave location) was the one that did the original tire replacement and was same location to discover the bad tire wear. Their diagnosis was that our suspension was shot and needed to be completely replaced (about $5000). So naturally I asked why that wasn't noted 7k miles ago at the tire change and the response was that "oh it can go bad pretty quickly so there would have been no way of knowing then". I took it to two other shops in the neighborhood for a second opinions and BOTH said there was NOTHING wrong with the suspension and that it just needed a full alignment (and replaced rear tires). When I had the alignment done at the new shop, the tech said the rear camber adjustment rods had never been touched in the life of the vehicle, confirming Honest-1 never bothered to do a full alignment, costing us a pair of tires and an additional charge for an alignment. Apparently this is a common cop-out at shops when they charge you for an alignment and only do what's called a "tow and go" which is only making sure the front tires are aimed so it drives down the road straight but don't bother with checking the camber (wheels tilted in our out). So BEWARE OF THIS SHOP, both on the side of NOT doing the work they bill you for, then also trying to cover up their NEGLIGENCE by trying to bill you for MORE WORK. I would also describe this auto shop as "place that highly suggests as many services as possible from list of maintenace schedule" regardless of the necessity. The other two local shops were the complete opposite and didn't pester me for a bunch of extras. You know the experience.

This is the only place I’ll take my car! Everyone here is so kind, and I never feel like I’m asking stupid questions. They are truly as honest as their name implies, and all the work I’ve ever had done here has been well-explained and quickly done.

Quick work any time I go here for any reason. Usually it’s to swap out my wheels and tires seasonally as it was this time. Dropped off at 2:30pm on a Friday, hoping to have it done by the time I started work at 6pm. They called me an hour later to let me know it was finished and that alignment wasn’t necessary so no charge for that part. I’ve never had a problem here. I was very surprised they were able to slip me in and out so quickly. Keep up the good work guys!!
